Current position
Ph.D. Researcher
KU Leuven & EnergyVille (Etch – Energy Transmission Competence Hub)
Research focus: risk-aware decision support for power system operation under uncertainty, with applications in congestion management, balancing, and hybrid AC/DC grids.
Research profile
My work focuses on stochastic optimization and uncertainty-aware operational planning in renewable-dominated power systems. In particular, I develop frameworks that quantify how uncertainty affects congestion management and balancing decisions, enabling more cost-efficient and reliable grid operation.
I work on continuous, non-Gaussian uncertainty modeling using Polynomial Chaos Expansion and risk-based formulations, bridging academic research with practical challenges faced by transmission system operators.
